If you aren’t thinking of your business as amedia company in 2021, you are at a disadvantage to any business that is. Being at the mercy of someone else’s platform puts you in a position of vulnerability and lack of leverage versus your competitors. Too many businesses are thinking about creating ads for the Wall Street Journal when they need to start thinking of themselves as the WSJ. Whoever has the platform with the most attention gets to decide what the market does and does not see. This is an extremely important concept and will be fundamental to the success of so many businesses and personal brands!
