Your parents only want what is best for you. However, what they think is best for you and what you think is best for you are not always the same. If you understand where they are coming from and are grateful for what they have done for you, it can be difficult to go against their wishes. The best thing you can do in that scenario is to try and execute both what you want and what you’re parents want. You will both need to compromise on some parts of what you really want and it may take longer for your goals to be reached but it will make everyone happy at the end which is important.
